Girlguiding in Horley, Merstham, Redhill and Reigate
The communities of Horley, Merstham, Redhill, Reigate, Smallfield and South Nutfield make up Reigate division, part of Girlguiding Surrey East county. From our youngest rainbows to our oldest rangers we offer friendship, adventure and challenge in a safe, supportive, inclusive environment where we work, grow and have fun together.
Our Leaders and adult volunteers give their time so that girls get their voices heard, do great activities and feel included and special. They are inspirational role models for girls too.
In return we provide them with training opportunities so that they have the skills to offer girls the best possible guiding experience.
Horley East District
Horley East district covers Horley and Smallfield taking part in local events and every year hold an annual swimming gala at The Horley Leisure Centre.
Horley West District
Horley West district covers Horley, Salfords, Westvale and Charlwood. Always involved in local events especially the Horley Lions Club Dog Show and parade.
Merstham District
Merstham district covering Merstham, the district is very involved with the community and you will always see them at a stall on fayre days
Redhill District
Redhill District is the largest district within the division covering Redhill, Earlswood and South Nutfield.
Reigate Park District
Reigate Park district covers Reigate and Woodhatch.
Gift Aid
Gift Aid is a government scheme to encourage people to give to charity. Under the scheme, money given to charities is eligible for tax relief. Please ask your unit leader for a gift aid form if you pay UK tax as your daughter’s unit will benefit enormously at no extra cost to yourself
Cost
Girlguiding units charge subs to cover the cost of equipment, resources, annual subscription to be a member of Girlguiding and the hire of the meeting place. These are paid three times a year at the start of each term. Subs vary from area to area – your unit leader will be able to tell you how much the subs are and when they need to be paid.
There is usually an extra charge for special activities, days out, residential events and holidays.

Uniform
Your unit leader will tell you what uniform your daughter will need. This can be purchased from The Reigate District Scout and Guide Shop in Redhill
